Workshops4Sudan

Workshops4Sudan is a new fundraising initiative of the Sudan Solidarity Collective.

We are a volunteer collective of students, professionals, activists, and community members from the Sudanese diaspora in Toronto who came together in response to the devastating war that broke out in April 2023. We are anti-war and pro-peace. We provide political education and awareness to the global community. Crucially, we work to provide direct support to civilian-led collectives tirelessly working on the ground in Sudan.

These civilian-led organizations—including emergency response rooms, resistance committees, mutual aid groups, and independent labor and farmers’ unions—have been at the forefront of relief efforts on the ground. They provide clean water, medical supplies, communication infrastructure, community kitchens, reproductive health services, and evacuation assistance to those affected by the conflict. While externally-backed military forces pillage and run the breadbasket of the world into the ground, these civilian volunteers are doing life-saving work and keeping the revolution alive.

The donations we collect through our workshops go directly to these frontline groups. Our suggested donation amounts reflect both our deep appreciation for the time and expertise of our instructors and the urgent, ongoing needs in Sudan.

Workshops4Sudan is inspired by Workshops4Gaza, who have extended their solidarity to our work and the Sudanese people. Our liberation will always be connected. From Palestine and Turtle Island to Sudan and Congo and all oppressed people of the world. Please help us spread the word about these workshops and initiatives.

Can’t attend yourself but want to support, donate, or pay it forward email us at sudansolidaritycollective@gmail.com
